A New Beginning

The grand opening was an evening to remember, filled with various activities and festivities. City officials, the Huffines Communities team, and the very first residents of Heritage Towers came together to enjoy the occasion. The event featured delicious catered dishes, craft cocktails, and local beers, with special offerings from the nearby Bendt Distilling Co. Kona Ice, provided a sweet treat with their flavorful snow cones, perfect for the warm evening.

DJ Gumbo set the tone with lively beats, creating an atmosphere of relaxation and festivity. A caricature artist drew smiles with each stroke, and a photo booth captured fun memories of the evening. Interactive games were spread throughout the venue, encouraging guests to engage and connect, and fostering a sense of community right from the start.

After the run/walk, the real festivities began. Each runner received a voucher for the shaved ice truck, while another food truck offered a special Heritage Towers promotion for participants. From gourmet burgers and tacos to vegan options and sweet treats, there was something to satisfy every palate. The aroma of freshly prepared food filled the air, drawing everyone in for a post-exercise feast. To complement the delicious food, a selection of craft beers was available, providing the perfect refreshment for a warm day. For the younger crowd and those seeking a non-alcoholic option, colorful shaved ice cones were a hit. The icy treats, in a rainbow of flavors, were a delightful way to cool down and enjoy the afternoon.
